Associate Professor José Alberto Salinas Pérez is Associate Professor at the Department of Quantitative Methods of Universidad Loyola Andalucía. He is also an Adjunct Professor at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Canberra. He is a geographer specialising in health geography. He applies statistics, spatial data analysis, and geographic information systems to study health indicators and service data.

José has collaborated in developing and implementing the DESDE-LTC instrument for the standardised classification of long-term care services, which has been used for the study and evaluation of services in several integrated mental healthcare atlases developed in European and Australian regions.
