About

Dr Jaume Pujante holds a PhD in Materials Science and Engineering (Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, 2015), a Master AMASE in Materials Science and Engineering (Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, Universität des Saarlandes, 2009), and is an Industrial Engineer (Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, 2009).

He joined Eurecat (by then called CTM) in 2010, beginning his thesis in the topic of tribology and processing of metallic materials, specifically press hardening and hot working of steels. Since then, he has worked as a researcher in the Unit of Metallic and Ceramic Materials, participating in 14 public competitive research projects (10 of them European, and 6 of them as a coordinator) and a number of private contracts, generating 14 publications in indexed journals and almost 40 conference participations.

Since 2020, he leads the Research Line of Advanced Forming Processes, a group performing research on processing of materials, including heat treatment, thermo-mechanical processing, severe plastic deformation, and powder metallurgy. In the last years, this group has also included an incipient activity in Additive Manufacturing processes.
