About

Dr Denis Usosky is a scientist with expertise in chemistry, chemical engineering, thermodynamic modelling, phase equilibria and process simulation, with a research focus on carbon capture, utilisation, and storage (CCUS).

He received his B.S. in Chemistry from Belarusian State University in 2017 and later, in 2024, earned his M.S./PhD in Energy and Environmental Technology (Chemical Engineering) from the Korea University of Science and Technology.

Denis has built an international career across academic, industrial, and interdisciplinary research environments, including positions at the Korea Institute of Science and Technology (KIST), TriMass Co. Ltd. in South Korea, and IDOM Consulting, Engineering, Architecture SAU in Bilbao, where he serves as a Postdoctoral Fellow in the AuSpire program.

His work has centred on CO2 capture and conversion, pilot-scale process development, thermodynamic and process modelling, life-cycle and techno-economic assessment, and sustainable chemical process innovation.

He has also contributed to the scientific community through peer-reviewed journal publications, conference presentations and research mentoring, particularly in the areas of formic acid production, phase equilibrium modelling, and clean energy technologies.
