Dr Cecilia Morilla is an interdisciplinary researcher with a PhD in Energy Systems Planning working at the water–energy nexus. Her research focuses on the governance and socio-economic dimensions of sustainability, with particular attention to environmental policy, natural resource management, and renewable energy systems.
With a background spanning engineering and social sciences, Cecilia combines qualitative and quantitative methods with participatory research approaches to produce policy-relevant insights aligned with SDG and ESG frameworks, supporting evidence-based pathways toward sustainable and just transitions.
She served as National Task Leader in Sweden for the IEA Task 44 on Bioenergy and System Integration and has professional experience as a consultant and project manager in Stockholm and London.
