About

Dr Dmitrii Vasenin is a researcher working at the intersection of energy systems and machine learning, with experience spanning both academia and industry. In addition to his academic background, Dmitrii has hands-on industry experience in technical operations and service reliability from roles at Neoflex and RT Labs, where he supported large-scale banking and public service platforms.

Dmitrii holds a PhD in Technology for Health from the University of Brescia and has one year of experience as a Postdoctoral Researcher. During this time, he focused on short-term load forecasting and the application of advanced machine learning techniques in smart grids. His work centres on developing robust, data-driven solutions to improve energy efficiency and sustainability.

Currently, he is a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellow affiliated with RMIT University and Moeve, where he works on next-generation electric vehicle charging infrastructure and smart energy systems for sustainable mobility. His interests include EV charging systems, smart grids, and applied machine learning.
