About

Dr Insaf Nori is a chemical and process engineer with a PhD in Process Engineering Energy and Environment from Université Sultan Moulay Slimane, Morocco. Her research focuses on sustainable energy systems, biomass valorisation, and advanced catalytic processes for environmental applications. During her doctoral research, she developed integrated strategies for bioethanol production from Opuntia ficus-indica waste, combining process optimisation, circular bioeconomy principles, and digital monitoring approaches.

She is currently a postdoctoral researcher within the AuSpire program, working on the ElectroHarvest project at Eurecat in Spain. Her work focuses on the development of advanced copper-based nanostructured catalysts and modular electrochemical systems for the conversion of CO₂ into multicarbon fuels and chemicals. Her research integrates catalyst design, electrochemical reactor engineering, and data-driven optimisation approaches.

Her broader interests include carbon capture and utilisation technologies, sustainable materials, digital traceability systems, and the development of scalable solutions for climate-neutral industrial processes.
