Dr Carlos A. Prieto currently works at Moeve Innovation Center. He is the manager of the Energy Transition Technologies department, dealing with green hydrogen, CCUS, e-fuels, biorefineries, energy storage and sustainable mobility technologies.

He joined Moeve in 2005 and has developed different positions in the company, from product development and surfactant chemistry to research on thermocatalytic processes, biorefineries and process developments.

His current research interests focus on developing green technologies for mobility. These include green hydrogen production through novel conductive membranes, designing new catalysts, improving synthesis methods, and creating innovative electrochemical cell configurations for water electrolysis. He also aims to enhance sustainability in the mobility sector by advancing electric vehicle supply equipment (EVSE) and improving electric vehicle charging reliability.

He holds a MEng and a PhD on Chemical Engineering from the University of Granada, Spain and degrees in Executive Business Administration (IE Business School) and Green Hydrogen (EOI).
